How many of you have brought home lemons and sat them out on your counter because they look so beautiful on your counter or kitchen table just to discover within a couple of days several are covered with mold? But to put them in fridge if not used quickly they start to turn brown and get rock hard.
That was me for sure! I now come home from the store, wash my lemons and pop them into a plastic bag and into the fridge they go.
Apparently, this slows down the aging by slowing down their respiratory process and helps to preserve their nutritional properties as well. They last for at least 3 to 4 weeks this way!
So for that beautiful bowl that I always wanted of lemons and limes because they look so pretty, I went on Amazon and purchased beautiful life-like lemons and limes. Now I can have the best of both worlds!
